Simrad Airmar DST820 Smart Multisensor Plastic Thru-Hull

The new DST-820 Smart Sensor—featuring depth, speed, temperature, and heel and trim data—is fully compliant with the UK’s Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Act. The DST-820 debut is one of the first transducers in the recreational marine market that meets the PSTI compliance requirements and sets a new standard for excellence and security in marine technology.

Additionally, the new DST-820 features improved power efficiency, with an NMEA 2000 Load Equivalency Number (LEN) of 2, compared to 3 in previous models. It remains fully compatible with existing thru-hull fittings, allowing for an easy upgrade path. It is important to note that in terms of firmware, there does not exist backward compatibility between the existing DST-810 and DST-820.
